![]() Thank you all ! Here are links to the other reddit post about this and the Jayztwocents youtube video I am also referencing. If I am switching from AMD to Nvidia or vice versa is it even necessary to remove old drivers?įinal question is should I remove any softwares such as MSI Afterburner or will something like this automatically detect the new GPU ![]() ![]() How to fix stuttering Hogwarts Legacy PC Stuttering in Hogwarts Legacy on PC mostly comes down to running out of video memory. Is it going to be a problem that in order for me to remove Nvidia drivers I will have to use the AMD GPU to do this without having installed any AMD drivers (the only gpu I have is the AMD one and in order for me to see a display I will have to load up using the AMD GPU)? We’re still waiting on official drivers from AMD and Nvidia. I have all the Nvidia drivers installed but dont have the Nvidia GPU anymore and the AMD GPU is still in the mail. ![]() I am switching Nvidia GPU for AMD GPU (3060 to 6700XT). Is it true that it is better to do this process unconnected from the internet? (that is why i added step two to download new drivers before running DDU, so you can do all this without internet) Personally - If you are not having problems with the current driver you only need to uninstall via Programs and Features, reboot and install the new drivers. It seems the best process to uninstall GPU drivers is as follows (based on Jayztwocents youtuber, and most upvoted comment on other reddit post about this):ĭownload display driver uninstaller (DDU) (I will be using the DDU from Jayztwocents youtube video, Wagnardsoft DDU)ĭownload new drivers but dont install yet. A question about this was just asked on this community (I am posting a link to it below) but I had a few follow-up questions and didn't want to clutter up the replies on the other post. ![]()
